A celebration of detail, texture, and quiet moments. Created as a personal refuge from the constant noise of ADHD and anxiety, this piece explores the comforting rhythm of noticing, discovering, and slowing down. For me, it is a reminder that peace can often be found in the smallest details.

The Story
This piece started as a way to create a little peace for myself.
Living with ADHD and anxiety often means my mind is constantly moving, jumping from one thought to the next. While creating this work, I found comfort in the details. Every layer, stitched fragment, and bloom gave me something to focus on, something new to discover each time I looked at it.
Working on it felt like taking a deep breath after holding it for too long. The repetition, texture, and abundance of detail created a sense of rhythm that helped quiet the noise in my head.
For years, this painting hung in my office as a reminder to pause and breathe, especially during a time when I was surrounded by negativity, stress, and expectations that often felt impossible to meet. Looking at it brought me back to a place of calm.
What I find funny is that while this piece has always felt peaceful to me, my husband says it gives him anxiety. It's a small but meaningful reminder that art is deeply personal.
We each bring our own experiences, emotions, and perspectives to what we see.
